Tiziano Minio (1547)

Reclining on a base is the god of the Tiber, the river that flows through Rome. This valuable object served as an inkpot in the sixteenth century. The river god is leaning on a horn of plenty, which contained the ink. The artist, possibly Tiziano Minio, made this bronze group after a larger-than-life marble statue from antiquity.   www.rijskmuseum.nl/
